DOCELIEVA 20 mg contains Docetaxel, a chemotherapy (anticancer) medicine from the taxane group. It works by promoting and stabilizing microtubules, thereby preventing cancer cell division and causing cell death.
Docetaxel Injection is used in the treatment of:
Breast cancer
Non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC)
Prostate cancer (metastatic, hormone-refractory)
Gastric (stomach) cancer
Head and neck squamous cell carcinoma
Common side effects:
Hair loss (alopecia)
Nausea, vomiting
Myelosuppression (especially neutropenia)
Fatigue and weakness
Peripheral neuropathy
Fluid retention (edema)
Mouth sores (stomatitis)
Serious side effects:
Severe neutropenia with infection risk
Hypersensitivity reactions
Severe fluid retention (pleural effusion, ascites)
Liver function abnormalities
Dosage depends on body surface area (BSA), cancer type, and regimen.
Common dosing:
75 mg/m² IV infusion every 3 weeks
100 mg/m² IV infusion every 3 weeks (in selected cases)
