ENTELIEVA 0.5MG ( Entecavir 0.5mg )

Entecavir 0.5 mg is an antiviral medication used in the treatment of chronic Hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection. It belongs to the class of medicines known as nucleoside analog reverse transcriptase inhibitors (NRTIs).

ENTELIEVA 0.5 MG works by inhibiting the replication of Hepatitis B virus, thereby reducing viral load, improving liver function, and preventing further liver damage such as cirrhosis or liver cancer.

Entecavir 0.5 mg is indicated for:

       ㆍ Treatment of chronic Hepatitis B infection in adults

       ㆍ Patients with compensated or decompensated liver disease

       ㆍ Reducing the risk of liver cirrhosis and hepatocellular carcinoma

       ㆍ Patients with active viral replication and elevated liver enzymes

Common Side Effects

      ㆍ Headache

      ㆍ Fatigue

      ㆍ Dizziness

      ㆍ Nausea

      ㆍ Abdominal pain

Less Common / Serious Side Effects

      ㆍ Lactic acidosis (rare but serious)

      ㆍ Liver enzyme elevation after discontinuation

      ㆍ Allergic reactions (rare)

        ㆍ The usual recommended dose is 0.5 mg once daily.

        ㆍ Should be taken on an empty stomach (at least 2 hours before or after food).

        ㆍ Dosage may vary in patients with renal impairment or previous antiviral resistance.

         ㆍ Treatment duration is decided by the physician based on clinical response.
