ZODLIEVA 4MG ( Zoledronic Acid Injection IP 4mg )

ZODLIEVA 4 mg contains Zoledronic Acid, a third-generation bisphosphonate. It inhibits osteoclast-mediated bone resorption, strengthens bone, and reduces skeletal complications in cancer patients with bone involvement.

Zoledronic Acid is indicated for:

1. Bone metastases from solid tumors (breast, prostate, lung, etc.)

2. Multiple myeloma – prevention of skeletal-related events

3. Hypercalcemia of malignancy

4. Prevention of pathological fractures

5. Reduction of bone pain in cancer patients

6. Treatment of osteoporosis (specific regimens)

Common side effects:

•  Fever, flu-like symptoms

•  Bone, joint, or muscle pain

•  Fatigue

•  Nausea, vomiting

Laboratory abnormalities:

•  Hypocalcemia

•  Increased serum creatinine

Serious side effects:

•  Osteonecrosis of the jaw (ONJ)

•  Renal toxicity

•  Severe hypocalcemia

 Dental examination recommended before starting therapy.

For bone metastases / multiple myeloma:

•  4 mg IV infusion

•  Every 3–4 weeks

For hypercalcemia of malignancy:

•  4 mg IV single dose

Infuse over at least 15 minutes
